The service
turnitout.org is run by TurnItOut (“we”, “us”). It rewrites text you give it so that it reads more naturally, and shows an AI score for the text before and after. These terms apply whenever you use the website, with or without an account.
Your text and your responsibility
You keep every right you have in the text you submit and in the result. You are responsible for how you use the result, including following the rules of any school, employer or publisher you submit it to. Do not submit text you have no right to use.
AI scores
The scores we show come from our own detector, which is trained on Turnitin’s AI reports. They are an estimate. Other detectors, including Turnitin itself, can score the same text differently and can change their models at any time. The score guarantee described on our refund page is the only promise we make about scores.
Accounts
Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. You may close your account at any time by writing to hello@turnitout.org.
Plans, passes and payment
Paid plans renew every month until you turn renewal off; your plan then stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Passes do not expire. Prices are shown before you pay, and payments are handled by our payment partners.
Fair use
Daily and monthly limits are part of each plan. Do not try to get around them, overload the service, or use it to process text automatically at scale without our agreement.
Changes and availability
We work to keep TurnItOut available and accurate, but the service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. We may update these terms; the date at the top always shows the latest version.
